Florida Surgeon General recommends AGAINST the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine for young males aged 18 to 39
On Friday, October 7th, Florida State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo tweeted about new guidance for Floridians regarding mRNA vaccines based on a new study that his team conducted. He recommended that young men NOT be injected with mRNA COVID vaccines.
The Florida Department of Health conducted an analysis of vaccine safety through a self-controlled case series, which is a technique originally developed to evaluate vaccine safety.
LADAPO: “This analysis found that there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination.
With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group. Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks.
As such, the State Surgeon General recommends against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.”
LADAPO: “Studying the safety and efficacy of any medications, including vaccines, is an important component of public health. Is it really that hard to imagine that mRNA COVID-19 vaccines that increase myocarditis in young men by 10x, 20x, or 30x (see Karlstad et al, JAMA Cardiology, 2022) also increase the risk of cardiac death in that age group? Of course it's not, and we all know that.”
Twitter quickly BLOCKED Dr. Ladapo’s tweet as “misinformation.” Then, after a backlash, was forced to restore it on Sunday, October 9th.
TWITTER: “Our current misleading information policies cover: synthetic and manipulated media, COVID-19, and civic integrity. If we determine a Tweet contains misleading or disputed information per our policies that could lead to harm, we may add a label to the content to provide context and additional information.”
Twitter restored the post on Sunday morning.
Remember, Johns Hopkins Medicine, the Mayo Clinic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the FDA have all stressed that the mRNA vaccine is safe for ALL ages - even children and INFANTS - and urged the public to get vaccinated.
The analysis can be found here:
To critics of his research - Ladapo responded:
“I love the discussion that we've stimulated. Isn't it great when we discuss science transparently instead of trying to cancel one another? I'm going to respond to the more substantive critiques.
#1. "Diagnosis codes for cardiac-related deaths are imperfect." Yes! But that is true for every subgroup we examined. Only in young men was the risk extremely high, and it was also increased in older men.
#2. "COVID test information was only available on death certificates." No! We used all of our data resources-test results, vaccine records, death records-to exclude individuals who had documented COVID-19 infection, as we write in the Methods section.
#3. "The sample size is too small."
3a. Elevated cardiac risk was also found in older men, and there were thousands of deaths in this group.
3b. The total cardiac deaths meeting inclusion criteria among young men was 77, not 20, as has been going around the web.
3c. Read the references about the method! Self-controlled case series tell us whether events (death) are occurring unusually close to an exposure (mRNA Covid vaccine), or whether their timing is due to chance. Even if the sample size was half of what it is, if events cluster after an exposure, that is valuable information about causation.”
Charlie Crist, the Democrat running for Governor against DeSantis, called Ladapo a quack and tweeted this:
Crist is a big pal of Obama’s. Here’s what Sharyl Attkisson had to say:
Ladapo is an expert in the field of crafting “health policy” to protect We the People. Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD, as Florida Surgeon General and Secretary of the Florida Department of Health in September 2021:
Dr. Ladapo was recently granted a professorship at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine. Prior to joining UF, he served as an associate professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) caring for hospitalized patients. A graduate of Wake Forest University, Dr. Ladapo also holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Health Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
“I am pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Ladapo will lead the Florida Department of Health as our state’s next Surgeon General. Dr. Ladapo comes to us by way of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA with a superb background. He has had both a remarkable academic and medical career with a strong emphasis in health policy research. Dr. Ladapo will bring great leadership to the Department of Health.”
Ladapo had previously recommended that young children should NOT receive the Covid-19 vaccine. So did President Trump.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Now we have to get back and the schools have to get open … BUT the vaccine on very young people is something that you’ve got to really stop. I think it is unnecessary. Now, there's talk by the Biden Administration again about closing schools and even vaccine mandates for school children. This is an outrage, and MAGA nation should rise up and oppose this egregious federal government overreach. People have to have their freedom.”
Many critics believe that Biden knows that the mRNA vaccine harms young men and that is the reason why he has imposed the mandate on the military - to weaken our forces!
“Vaccine mandates have been used by the Biden Administration to wipe critical thinkers and conservative perspectives out of our military, and America is less safe as a result.”
President Trump recommended AGAINST Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for our troops!
PRESIDENT TRUMP: “Congress should pass a bill rehiring every single member of the military who was cruelly and wrongfully terminated by Joe Biden and his ridiculous COVID mandate.”
Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD, is a physician and health policy researcher whose primary research interests include clinical trial interventions and reducing the population burden of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Ladapo was recently granted a professorship at the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine. Prior to joining UF, he was an Associate Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine caring for hospitalized patients. Previously, he served as a faculty member in the Department of Population Health at NYU School of Medicine and as a Staff Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. Ladapo’s research program, funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse, focuses on patient-centered approaches to improving the health of individuals evaluated for coronary artery disease; and behavioral economic interventions to promote sustainable cardiovascular health, including among adults with HIV.
Dr. Ladapo graduated from Wake Forest University and received his MD from Harvard Medical School and his PhD in Health Policy from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He completed his clinical training in internal medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Dr. Ladapo was born in Nigeria. He immigrated to the United States when he was 5 years old, along with his family, as his father, a microbiologist, came to the country to continue his studies.
