DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT HARRY TRUMAN: “I never would have agreed to the formulation of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) back in 1947, if I had known it would become the American Gestapo.”
Roosevelt died in 1945. Truman agreed to form the CIA two years later. A major impetus that has been cited over the years for the creation of the CIA was the unforeseen attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was the intelligence agency of the United States during World War II. It only lasted for three years and three months but it became the basis for the modern Central Intelligence Agency.
TRUMAN: "The CIA was not intended as a Cloak & Dagger Outfit. It was intended merely as a center for keeping the President of what was going on in the World…I never wanted the CIA to act as a spy organization. That was never the intention when it was organized."
“There is something about the way the CIA has been functioning that is casting a shadow over our historic position and I feel that we need to correct it.”
“Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear."

So instead of the President having to look through a bunch of papers two feet high, the information was coordinated so that the President could arrive at the facts.”
"The President needed at that time a central organization that would bring all the various intelligence reports we were getting in those days, and there must have been a dozen of them, maybe more, bring them all into one organization so that the President would get one report on what was going on in various parts of the world. Now that made sense, and that's why I went ahead and set up what they called the Central Intelligence Agency."
"But it got out of hand. The fella that was in the White House after me (Eisenhower) never paid any attention to it, and it got out of hand. Why, they've got an organization over there in Virginia (Langley) now that is practically the equal of the Pentagon in many ways. And I think I've told you, one Pentagon is one too many.”
”Now, as nearly as I can make out, those fellows in the CIA don't just report on wars and the like, they go out and make their own, and there's nobody to keep track of what they're up to. They spend billions of dollars on stirring up trouble so they'll have something to report on."
"They've become ... it's become a government all of its own and all secret. They don't have to account to anybody.”
”That's a very dangerous thing in a democratic society, and it's got to be put a stop to. The people have got a right to know what those birds are up to. And if I was back in the White House, people would know. You see, the way a free government works, there's got to be a housecleaning every now and again, and I don't care what branch of the government is involved. Somebody has to keep an eye on things."
"And when you can't do any housecleaning because everything that goes on is a damn secret, why, then we're on our way to something the Founding Fathers didn't have in mind. Secrecy and a free, democratic government don't mix. And if what happened at the Bay of Pigs doesn't prove that, I don't know what does. You have got to keep an eye on the military at all times, and it doesn't matter whether it's the birds in the Pentagon or the birds in the CIA."
PRESIDENT JFK: “The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.
Today no war has been declared--and however fierce the struggle may be, it may never be declared in the traditional fashion. Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe.
For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.
Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.”
RFK JR: “When my uncle (JFK) was president, he was surrounded by a military-industrial complex and intelligence apparatus that was constantly trying to get him to go to war in Laos, Vietnam, etc. He refused. He said that the job of the American presidency is to keep the nation out of war. There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in his murder.”
My research shows that the real reason they forced out Nixon was because he threatened to expose the CIA & LBJ for killing Kennedy.
A rarely talked about Nixon Watergate-era tape revealed Richard Nixon warning CIA Director Richard Helms that he knows of CIA involvement in the murder of John F. Kennedy- “I know who shot John.”
NIXON: “We protected [the CIA] from one hell of a lot of things. You open that scab there’s a hell of a lot of things, and we just feel that it would be very detrimental to have this thing go any further. This involves these Cubans, [ex-CIA man and Watergate burglar Howard] Hunt, and a lot of hanky-panky that we have nothing to do with ourselves.”
The “hanky panky” referred to CIA assassination operations in the early 1960s. Nixon threatened to expose them all…
NIXON: “Now to get to the dirty tricks part of it. I know what happened in Iran [a CIA-sponsored coup in 1953]. I also know what happened in Guatemala [a CIA-sponsored coup in 1954] and I totally approved of both. I also know what happened with the planning of the Bay of Pigs under Eisenhower and totally approved of it.”
In 1999, a Memphis jury concluded that the US Government murdered Reverend Martin Luther King. Nobody ever talks about that. There’s also quite a bit of evidence that RFK & Malcolm X were also murdered by the US Government.
NEW YORK TIMES: “A jury in a civil suit brought by the family of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. found that it did not believe that James Earl Ray, who was convicted of the crime, fired the shot that killed Dr. King.
The jury in the wrongful-death case found that ''others, including governmental agencies'' had been part of the conspiracy. The jury awarded the King family the damages they had sought: $100, which the family says it will donate to charity.
The family has long questioned Mr. Ray's conviction and hoped the suit would change the legal and historical record of the assassination.”
In 1974, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh published a frontpage New York Times article claiming that the CIA had been spying on anti-war activists for more than a decade, violating the agency’s charter.
On January 21, 1975, Democrat Senator John Pastore introduced a resolution to establish a select committee to investigate federal intelligence operations and determine “the extent, if any, to which illegal, improper, or unethical activities were engaged in by any agency of the Federal Government.” The Senate approved the resolution, 82-4. Democrat Frank Church of Idaho was selected to serve as chairman. It was called the Church Committee.
The Church Committee investigated and identified a wide range of intelligence abuses by federal agencies, including the CIA, FBI, Internal Revenue Service, and National Security Agency (NSA.)
After holding 126 full committee meetings, 40 subcommittee hearings, interviewing some 800 witnesses in public and closed sessions, and combing through 110,000 documents, the committee published its final report on April 29, 1976 - investigators determined that, beginning with President Franklin Roosevelt’s administration that “intelligence excesses, at home and abroad,” were not the “product of any single party, administration, or man,” but had developed as America rose to a become a superpower during a global Cold War.
“Intelligence agencies have undermined the constitutional rights of citizens, primarily because checks and balances designed by the framers of the Constitution to assure accountability have not been applied.”
The Church Committee's final report was published in April 1976 in six books. Also published were seven volumes of Church Committee hearings in the Senate.
The most shocking revelations of the committee include Operation MKULTRA involving the drugging, brainwashing and torture of unwitting US citizens as part of human experimentation on mind control (think patsies & assassins); COINTELPRO involving the surveillance and infiltration of American political and civil-rights organizations; Family Jewels, a CIA program to covertly assassinate foreign leaders.
It also unearthed Project SHAMROCK in which the major telecommunications companies shared our private conversations with the NSA. The Church Committee also helped to uncover the NSA's Watch List. The Church Committee learned that, beginning in the 1950s, the CIA and Federal Bureau of Investigation had intercepted, opened and photographed more than 215,000 pieces of postal mail by the time the program (called "HTLINGUAL") was shut down in 1973.
Frank Church said that if the US Government ever used this technology against the American people that we would become a tyranny from which there would be no return. Well, folks, that’s where we are today!
FRANK CHURCH: “In the need to develop a capacity to know what potential enemies are doing, the United States government has perfected a technological capability that enables us to monitor the messages that go through the air. Now, that is necessary and important to the United States as we look abroad at enemies or potential enemies. We must know, at the same time, that capability at any time could be turned around on the American people, and no American would have any privacy left: such is the capability to monitor everything—telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn't matter. There would be no place to hide.
If this government ever became a tyranny, if a dictator ever took charge in this country, the technological capacity that the intelligence community has given the government could enable it to impose total tyranny, and there would be no way to fight back because the most careful effort to combine together in resistance to the government, no matter how privately it was done, is within the reach of the government to know. Such is the capability of this technology.
I don't want to see this country ever go across the bridge. I know the capacity that is there to make tyranny total in America, and we must see to it that this agency and all agencies that possess this technology operate within the law and under proper supervision so that we never cross over that abyss. That is the abyss from which there is no return.”
CIA ON TRUMP TRANSITION: “Looking back at the Trump transition, one must conclude that the CIA achieved only limited success with what had always been its two fundamental goals with the briefing process: to assist the president-elect in becoming familiar with foreign developments and threats affecting US interests with which he would have to deal once in office; and to establish a relationship with the new president and his team in which they understood how they could draw on the Intelligence Community to assist them in discharging their responsibilities.”
Basically the CIA said Trump was like Nixon and did NOT trust the Intelligence Community and did NOT always follow their orders. Duh.
SCHUMER: The intelligence community is very angry at President Trump and, if you take them on, they have "six ways from Sunday" to get back at him.
TOM FITTON: Biden's CIA director had unusual meetings with Epstein back when he was Obama State Dept official!
K. T. McFarland, a former Deputy National Security Advisor, says the FBI, Justice Department, and CIA will rig the 2024 U.S. presidential election, following their success in rigging the 2016 and 2020 elections, because they won't allow any candidate to win that would hold them accountable!

While many people blame the FBI for the crossfire hurricane investigation into Trump and Russia that turned out to be a hoax concocted and paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign, it was started by the CIA and later included the FBI counterterrorism unit.
The term "conspiracy theorist" was created by the CIA to stop the weak minded thinking too far outside of their box. They label anything they don't want people to believe as a 'conspiracy theory' and no one believes it. The fear of ridicule is a powerful antidote to free-thought.
Even Putin said that the US is run by “men in dark suits” who tell the President what to do - or else:
“I have already talked with one US President, and with another, and with the third - Presidents come and go, but the policy does not change. Do you know why? Because the power of the bureaucracy is very strong. The person gets elected, he comes with some ideas, and then people come to him with briefcases, well dressed and in dark suits, like mine, but not with a red tie, but with black or dark blue, and they begin to explain what he should do - and everything changes at once. This happens from one administration to the next. Changing things [in DC] is not easy, and I say this without any irony. It is not that someone does not want to, but because it is a hard thing to do.”

So if the top echelon of 17 agencies including the CIA, DOJ and FBI are complicit in a coup against the duly elected President of the United States - who’s going to arrest the criminals?
