The question we should all be asking is: "Why did the CIA & the FBI & the US intelligence community let 9/11 happen?"
A friend of mine wrote this to remind us of what really happened on September 11, 2001 - with a focus on the 4th plane:
EDWIN JUDE: “Today we remember 21st anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. September 11, 2001 was a dark day in America’s history. Four planes were hijacked that day by Al-Qaeda terrorists.
The first plane was American Airlines flight 11. It departed from Boston’s Logan International Airport at 7.59 a.m. EST. It was enroute to LAX International Airport. The aircraft had 76 passengers and 11 crew. The aircraft also had 5 hijackers. American 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Centre in Lower Manhattan, New York at 8.46 a.m. EST. The aircraft crashed into the northern façade of the tower between floors 93 and 99. The North Tower collapsed at 10.28 a.m. EST.
The second plane was United Airlines flight 175. This plane too departed from Boston’s Logan International Airport at 8.14 a.m. EST. It too was enroute to Los Angeles International Airport. The aircraft had 51 passengers and 9 crew. This aircraft also had 5 hijackers. United 175 crashed into the South Tower of the World Trade Centre in Lower Manhattan, NY at 9.03 a.m. EST, moments after American 11 crashed into the North Tower. The aircraft crashed into the southern façade of the tower between the floors 77 and 85. The South Tower collapsed at 09.59 a.m. UTC.
The third plane was American Airlines flight 77. This plane departed from Washington D.C’s Dulles International Airport at 8.20 a.m. EST. This plane too was enroute to Los Angeles International Airport. The aircraft had 53 passengers and 6 crew. The aircraft also had 5 hijackers. American 77 crashed into the west wall of the Pentagon, the headquarters of U.S. military in Arlington County, Washington D.C at 9.37 a.m. EST, causing a partial collapse of the building’s side.
The fourth plane was United Airlines flight 93. This plane departed from New Jersey’s, Newark Liberty International Airport at 8.42 a.m. EST. This plane was enroute to San Francisco International Airport. The aircraft had 33 passengers and 7 crew. The aircraft also had 4 hijackers.
United 93’s intended targets were either the White House or the Capitol in Washington D.C. But passengers and crew over-powered hijackers which led them to forcefully crash the plane into an empty field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10.03 a.m. EST. This was the only aircraft which did not reach its intended target.
Even though the act of the passengers were heroic, this plane is very less spoken about.
Ziad Jarrah, the Lebanese hijacker-pilot of United 93, a year before 9/11 attended "flying schools" in Florida. He visited his native Lebanon still on US tourist visa and on his way back to the United States, he passed through the UAE, according to that country's officials, where Jarrah was initially reported as having been interviewed by authorities on January 30, 2001 - at the request of the CIA.
Jarrah allegedly admitted to having been to Afghanistan and Pakistan to attend "Al Qaeda jihadi training camps"- but despite his Islamic fundamentalist background, he was allowed to enter the United States. Why?
Strangely, during the investigation, the Florida flight school where Jarrah had been studying said he was in school there until January 15, 2001, although the CIA has since denied the claim and the 9/11 Commission Report does not mention him being detained in the UAE. Ziad Jarrah was enrolled in flight school for six months, from June 2000 to January 15, 2001, while conspiring the “D-day.”
On September 11, 2001, Ziad Jarrah arrived in Newark to board United Airlines Flight 93 along with three fellow hijackers, Saeed al-Ghamdi, Ahmed al-Haznawi and Ahmed al Nami, all three of them were Saudi nationals, while Jarrah was from Lebanon. Some reports suggest al-Haznawi was pulled aside for screening while others claim there is no record of whether any of the four were screened; the lack of CCTV cameras at the time has compounded the problem. Nami boarded the plane between 7:39 am and 7:48 am; seated in First Class 3C, next to Saeed al-Ghamdi.
Due to the flight's routine delay, the pilot and crew were notified of the previous hijackings and were told to be on the alert, though within two minutes Jarrah had stormed the cockpit leaving the pilots dead or injured.
The voice recorder of United 93 recorded the sound of the passengers using the food cart as a battering ram against the cockpit door. Jarrah ceased the violent maneuvers at 10:01:00, put the picture of the Ka'bah (holiest mosque in Islam) at the cockpit, recited the takbir (an expression used in Arabic - "Allah is the greatest") and the "Shahada" (an Islamic prayer - "there is no God but Allah and Muhammed is his messenger") several times. He then asked another hijacker, "Is that it? I mean, shall we put it down?"
The other hijacker responded, "Yes, put it in it, and pull it down." By this time, the desperate passengers stormed the cockpit (using a fire extinguisher to break the door) continued their assault and at 10:02:17, a male passenger said, "Turn it up!" A second later, a hijacker said, "Pull it down! Pull it down!". At 10:02:33, Jarrah made a desperate plea in Arabic, screaming "Hey! Hey! Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me! Give it to me!"- possibly referring to the plane's yoke and struggle with the passengers who attempted to retake control of the plane, and Jarrah as a last desperate move, nosedived the plane.
The plane crashed just outside of Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at 10:03:11, 125 miles (200 km) from Washington, D.C. All aboard died.
The National Transportation Safety Board reported that the flight impacted at 563 mph. In 2006, a video surfaced showing Jarrah, still bearded, reading his will in January 2000 along with the Egyptian ring leader Mohamed Atta (pilot-hijacker of AA11).
Not long after this, Jarrah shaved his beard and began to act in a more secular way, according to his Turkish girlfriend Şengün (just before boarding the plane, Jarrah called his girlfriend and repeatedly told her, I love you).
Many of the future hijackers attempted to hide their radicalism and blend in with the population. To hide his travels to Afghanistan, which may have concerned security officials at international airports, Jarrah reported his passport stolen in February 2000 and received a blank duplicate, just as hijackers Atta and Shehhi had done the previous month. Ziad Jarrah used a fake German passport, despite being a Lebanese national.”
MY QUESTION IS: WHY DID THE CIA AND THE FBI LET THIS HAPPEN?
“Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost, a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”
