Another useful idiot
One of my newsletter readers from the West Coast shared two of my posts with her realtor. One on DEI and the other on the water quality in our lakes.
The realtor is obviously a progressive Communist and decided to mock my work - using her work email address - to school me on her Communist views.
I'm including our entire relevant email conversation. This is an excellent example of how the left has been brainwashed to be useful idiots and they think they are way smarter than they are.
First, she mocks me. Then she mocks God. Then she schools me with canned talking points. Then she laughs at me. Then, after I take her down, she backtracks and finds out she's not very smart after all. She is a left-wing activist who doesn’t realize the Communists she worships don’t believe in God or property rights…
JULIE CARPENTER, REALTOR: Dear Ms. Tierney, Diversity isn’t dead, we are a diverse nation and world, we are a country founded and fueled by immigrants. We celebrate the “melting pot” and the newer image of the “Salad Bowl” of diverse cultures and people that make the United States of America the leading nation and hope of the world. Managing diversity takes effort.
Immigrants seeking a better life than what’s available to them in China, South and Central America and Mexico, to name the top headline - making nations, should be seen as “labor supply” and future tax payers and business leaders - just like our own ancestors.
Equity isn’t dead. More Equity for All is an ongoing cause worth investing in. It’s the wealth that we acquire when we become real property owners. When people own their homes children are more secure, families are stronger, neighborhoods and states and our country as a whole are made better.
When people are owners of their homes and businesses, including farm land and legal cultivation of highly taxed cannabis, when more people share in building wealth through the American Dream of private property ownership, we all benefit. A rising tide floats all boats. (W. Churchill). Regulating trade and commerce and taxing profits is the proper business of government. Targeting some nationalities and denying them legal rights afforded to others is racist and un-American. Learn from the past, don’t be doomed to repeat it.
Inclusion isn’t dead: You can’t say you can’t play. Anti-immigrant rhetoric, racist fears and historic and active efforts to disenfranchise voters all necessitate our continued research, education and affirmative actions. Defense of democracy requires honest examination of our past and systemic efforts to include those who have disproportionately been harmed by past and current policies.
P.S. Your article on limnology including the natural evolution of lakes with basis in fact was well received. Sad, though, that “conspiracy” and xenophobic rhetoric had to pollute an otherwise interesting article. We can all agree on being good stewards of our water resources.
This twisting of some facts to focus on “hot button” topics pushing inflammatory messages is what makes me think that instead of being an admirably productive individual writer, that you are in fact, a “production team” intent on destabilizing the United States of America for “political” and financial reasons. Please, be careful what you wish for!

MY RESPONSE: Julie, your response sounds like a cut and paste job from Wikipedia. Not one original thought. Yawn. Remind me not to call you if I ever need a realtor. Peg
JULIE CARPENTER, REALTOR: Dear Ms. Tierney, I actually wrote that reply in just a few moments, inspired by your writing. No AI or chat bots (or thoughtful editing) involved. Those were my original top of mind comments based on the privilege of attending college and lots of continuing education and ongoing reading.
Realtors are committed to supporting Fair Housing and equal opportunity for all.
I admire your productivity, and applaud you for building your writing-based business, even if I don’t agree with much of your focus. What I don’t get is the nastiness. Why do it? We can do better.
I’m somewhat reassured that you might be a real person, not an organized assault on civil democracy, based on your direct response to my email. Thank you.
MY RESPONSE: I've written over 2,000 newsletters in the last 6 years. I do this myself and every morning I ask God to help me. He never lets me down. Peg
JULIE CARPENTER, REALTOR: Dear Ms. Tierney, Bless your heart, you and God have produced a lot of newsletters.
In the spirit of good journalism, below you can find an offering from a prolific writer, Heather Cox Richardson, who I read frequently. For a typical article, she cites 17 different sources.
MY RESPONSE: Heather's so-called sources include Commie rags like the Guardian, the Daily Beast, NPR and Politico. Joke. Keep your cards and letters coming. I'm going to put them all in my next newsletter... as a great example to my 20,000 readers of what a brainwashed progressive useful idiot looks like. Do you have a headshot I could include with your riveting commentary? Peg
JULIE CARPENTER, REALTOR: Dear Ms. Tierney, I offer my private communication with you respectfully, and do not give permission to publish my work.
I appreciate your time and efforts to communicate. Your threat to publish our exchange will necessarily end my correspondence with you. And that is too bad. We quite recently used to be a country with ordinary people and influential writers and elected representatives who could have civil exchanges of opposing ideas, and who more frequently achieved necessary compromises for the greater good.
I’d like to imagine we could be friendly enough neighbors who could mingle graciously and with good humor at a church potluck. In the spirit of Passover, also today, please spare me your negative publicity. I will pray for you.
MY RESPONSE: You should have thought of that before you used your company email to harass me - which has a disclaimer at the bottom of it that says email is not secure or confidential. You're not very bright are you? Peg

JULIE CARPENTER, REALTOR: One of my clients shared your newsletter. I believe there can be value in connecting with people who hold differing opinions. I admire your productivity and my intent was civil engagement with you, as you are clearly an “influencer” of note.
My outreach to you was and remains sincere and personal, not professional. I apologize if you perceived my email as “harassment.” I wish you well.
P.S. My work signature below is automatically embedded in all my emails. The “disclaimer” fine print is intended to caution people against sharing financial information that could be “hacked” and used fraudulently.
RIGHT!
DO YOU THINK SHE LEARNED ANYTHING FROM THIS EXCHANGE?
BTW - Folks like this who write inauthentic flowery, polite words - interspersed with mockery, condescension, sarcasm (bless your heart!) and contempt - are actually filled with rage. These are not the kind of neighbors you want in your foxhole when it really counts!
