This is Part 5 of my series on “What’s the plan to save America?” Today’s topic: Tariffs. I got an email this morning from a friend who wanted me to explain tariffs and why they are good for America - and not bad. So, I decided to briefly do that.
There is much confusion out there about why tariffs actually LOWER prices rather than raise them in a competitive economy. Hopefully this will help explain it.
SUNDANCE: BlackRock, the world’s largest hedge fund, basically writes the regulatory and economic policy for the Obama-Biden-Harris administration.
They create policies that enrich themselves and their Globalist clients depending on the bets they have made around the world. BlackRock is bigger than most countries.
For example, BlackRock invested in Communist China to win the AI revolution. However, as it turns out, they will not win AI - so BlackRock is scrambling to change direction and fix their mistakes.
BlackRock invested in Communist China to create materials for electric vehicles (EVs) and green energy (windmills and solar panels) - but as it turns out the consumer doesn't want EVs AND massive amounts of energy are required for AI and bitcoin mining (which windmills and solar panels can’t begin to provide) - so BlackRock is scrambling to change direction and keep their profits.
BlackRock also invested massively in Communist China to win in certain industries - like the auto industry. 3 Chinese companies are in the process of moving their auto manufacturing plants to Mexico, specifically to make EVs for the American market. The reason they are moving manufacturing to Mexico is due to the USMCA free trade agreement. The USMCA is one of the world's largest free trade zones.
Right now, Chinese EVs made in Mexico would come into the U.S market tariff-free under Trump's USMCA trade agreement.
If the CCP made the vehicles in Asia - they would be subject to tariffs if the products were sold into America. Because the CCP is now building plants in the USMCA - they will not. Products can be made in the US, Canada and Mexico tariff-free under the Trump trade agreement if they meet certain restrictions. China and BlackRock will make billions on this deal.
When it comes to automobiles, to qualify for the USMCA, 75% of the parts must be made in North America and there are also minimum wage controls and environmental controls. However, Trump built in a "review" process to the USMCA that he can use to change the deal if he wants - particularly since the CCP is planning to use Mexico as a back door to enter the US automotive market. Plus, Trump can hit China with additional tariffs on autos made in Mexico and shipped into the US based on national security concerns (and other legal machinations.) Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 grants the president broad power to use tariffs if products from the CCP are found to be a threat to U.S. national security.
As we saw in 2017-2020 under Trump - China, Asia and the EU also essentially DROPPED their export prices to retain access to the HUGE USA market and offset Trump's tariff costs. The US consumer market accounts for nearly 29% of global consumer spending - that’s HUGE - AND our enemies want access to our wallets.
In other words, our enemies must lower their prices before selling in the HUGE market of America - to remain competitive with higher tariffs. Or build plants in North America instead of abroad.
That means America WINS. That means more American workers with higher wages and lower prices for the consumer. That means America uses competition to force our enemies to cut prices. That also encourages companies to MOVE their manufacturing to North America to bypass tariffs. That also encourages good workers to migrate to and LIVE in America.
Tariffs can be used in many ways to hamstring our enemies, lower prices, increase competition and keep the dollar safe.
President Trump said: "My message is simple: Make your product in America and only America."
Why is that so necessary?
BDW: In the 1990s, American DC Globalist elites (both Democrat and Republican) shipped our factories abroad, via trade deals, in order to get cheap labor for their big donors and corporations - often from child labor and slave labor in other countries.
Good jobs left America due to these one-sided trade deals - which ended up devastating entire towns and families in America - hurting blue collar working men, especially.
These trade deals also left American supply chains vulnerable - particularly when it came to essential goods.
Then the Globalist elites signed even worse trade deals with Asian countries and China in 1999 and 2000. American factory towns that were already struggling - began to collapse. One by one, companies shut down or moved abroad, and along with them went the high quality American products they made — from furniture to clothes to medical supplies to industrial machines of all kinds.
But it wasn’t just factories and products that disappeared from America. Families did too, with divorce rates increasing. Children suffered and working class men lost their dignity - some turned to booze and drugs to cope. Obama was only too happy to help that along with ObamaCare which actually fueled the opioid crisis. He expanded Medicaid so that the poor and hurting could stay home and NOT work - yet could afford more harmful drugs. Instead of providing jobs - ObamaCare offered an early death. Then, Obama-Biden-Harris even came up with ways of paying Americans NOT TO WORK. We all SAW it happen.
That’s the story of so many towns in America for the past 35 years. Like Springfield, Ohio, for example, that Trump mentioned in the debate.
So how did the Globalist elites decide to fix the problem that they themselves created?
They decided to open our borders wide and repopulate America’s struggling towns with foreigners, from poor countries like Haiti, Somalia, and beyond. They forced American taxpayers to pay the worker’s benefits while multi-national corporations paid them a low wage. In other words, they destroyed American factories and workers with bad policies - so now they needed to replace the American worker with foreign workers and they want the taxpayer to pay to fix their mistakes!
Trump believes tariffs on foreign goods will support American companies that are still here and barely hanging on, encourage entrepreneurs to rebuild lost industries in America, and incentivize companies that fled abroad over the past 35 years to come back home with jobs for the American worker -- and bring back dignity for our people. He’s right.
Do you want to make America great again? I’m not talking about Trump's political slogan. I’m asking if you want to rebuild the America that we lost. Do you want to help restore an America where moms, dads, kids, and communities are vibrant once again? Where street corners are filled with thriving people and businesses - not graffiti, drug dealers and shuttered buildings. Where our stores are filled with essential goods that we made right here at home in America?
Do you want to return to the time in America before the DC Globalists sold this country down the river for cheap, child, slave labor?
I do. I want that America again. That’s what this election is really all about, folks. That’s what the debate in Springfield, Ohio is really about. And that’s why Donald Trump is right about tariffs and right about what’s going on in Springfield, Ohio.
ALSO...
President Trump says he will use tariffs as one strategy to make sure we keep the US Dollar as the world's reserve currency and keep the NWO from trying to control us with a global CBDC. Tariffs can also be used to fund the Government, eliminate the central banks and eliminate income taxes altogether - like Andrew Jackson did. Think of how much money could be invested in growing America instead of hiding in tax shelters!
The power of tariffs can ALSO be used to make other countries like Russia and China stay with the US dollar instead of their BRICS basket of currencies. That will be covered in Part 6 of this series.
